Naomi's Sunflowers
In warm shades of gold and copper, this mixed stitch sampler is inspired by my daughter Naomi's favourite flowers.
The sampler is topped by a large Hardanger sunflower worked in rich overdyed floss. Bands of pulled and drawn thread embroidery, speciality stitches, silk ribbon embroidery, bargello, cross stitch, and blackwork continue the sunflower and bumble bee themes. Metallic threads and beads add sparkle, and tiny brass bees complete the design. Comprehensive instructions for speciality stitches are included. Design size 4.75" x 14.75" when stitched on 28ct fabric.
Optional Goody Bag contains overdyed thread, variegated silk ribbon, beads and bumble bee charms.
