Canvas Wraps
Canvas wraps are printed onto premium grade canvas 400 gsm. This heavyweight canvas has a fine weave for enhanced detail retrieval and a bright white standard surface to achieve vibrant colours. Brilliant matt coatings offers a wide colour gamout. It is water resistance and does not crack when framing. Some suppliers will offer you a lightweight poly canvas (250gsm or less) don't be tempted to use this option as it will crack on framing and will eventually sag over time. The canvas is then wrapped onto either an 18mm or 38mm frame, I would recommend using 18mm for canvases up to A1 size and 38mm above this size otherwise there is a danger that too much of the image is lost in the wrap. I have added a new size 40" x 25" this size comes on a 34mm frame. The frames are made from profiled Premium European Pine or Fir wood kiln dried to 8% moisture content and includes tension wedges to retain tension and sawtooth hangers as standard. The wrap is then finished with picture framers tape so that no staples are visible.
Do not hang your Canvas in a position where it will receive direct sunlight as this may cause fading
When selecting your image please remember that 18mm or 38mm of the outer edge of the image will be wrapped so make sure that you select an image which does not have parts of the image that you want on the front as part of the wrap.
