Trebarwith Strand
Dennis Point Trebarwith
If you climb the 450 steps up the coast path behind the Port William Inn you get this fantastic view of Trebarwith with Tintagel in the distance

Reflections
The beach at Trebarwith Strand is only accessible at low tide, the surf was very big this particular day which left a large expanse of beach still wet after each wave. Shortly after this shot was taken another wave came in and soaked me luckily I had time to grab my tripod and raise it up high enough to save my camera.

Trebarwith Strand Winter Sunset
I went to the far end of Trebarwith to capture this sunset in Winter for a friend. The air is very clear at this time of year

Port William Sunset
Taken high up on the coast path overlooking the Port William. There was a heavy storm over Pentire Head coming my way so I had to work fast to get back down to the Willy before it came over.

Storm over Trebarwith Strand
The storm over Pentire Head was coming my way so I had to get this panoramic shot snapped and they sort out my gear and get down from the cliff path before I got soaked and into the Port William for a well earned beer!

Trebarwith Strand Twlight
After sunset the twilight is still quite bright out to the west

Gull Rock Trebarwith Strand
This shot was taken at the same time as reflections but from dry sand this time

Seaspray
I took this shot and Seaspray 2 with my super takumar M42 prime lens, it is a very fast and sharp lens with a maximum aperture of 1.4, this shot was captured at 1/4000 second to freeze the spray. This is one of my most popular images.

Trebarwith Strand Sunset
I have been down to Trebarwith Strand on many occasions to catch the sunset and met with a blanket of cloud on the horizon, this evening I got lucky with one of the best sunsets. I used an ND8 graduated filter to try and retain some foreground detail but I think I could have done with two!

Portal of the sun
I wanted to catch a sunset and some misty water in the foreground, to do this I used an ND8 graduated filter combined with an ND4 filter to give an exposure of around 2 seconds.

Undertow
This day was fairly overcast even so the coastline out past Port Isaac and on towards Rumps Point is visible. I used a long exposure to give the feeling of movement in the water.

Sundown
This image was taken shortly before Portal of the sun with the same filters, I love the way the rays of the sun mirror the flow of water over the rocks. I have this image as an A0 canvas print on my wall at home and it is really stunning when printed at this size, takes over the whole room

Penhallic Point Sunset
Penhallic Point is at the far end of Trebarwith Strand, there is a Youth Hostel right on the edge of the cliff, great place to stay. I usually take my wife's Jeep and park there then walk down to Penhallic Point. One thing I didn't notice when I took this shot was the way the stream reflected the sun. In the distance is Gull Rock and far into the distance is the rumps.

Hole Beach
Hole Beach is at the far end of Trebarwith Strand, it was at this point that ships used to dock to pick up the slate that was mined in the area.

Dunderhole point
Dunderhole point is to the east of Trebarwith Strand, the building on the cliffs is a Youth Hostel. The rock in the middle faces out west and takes a real battering when a storm comes in.
