I took these images with my Pentax super takumar 50 / 1.4 lens at f1.4. This manual focus prime lens from the 1970's is thought to be by many photographers, the sharpest lens ever made. It has a very narrow depth of field at this aperture setting meaning the subject is in sharp focus and the background is blurred

Thistle

I think this is a thistle, I shot this flower at the Eden project. No it is not a thistle but an artichoke. Thanks to my friend from germany who is very knowledgeable about such things, who helped me out.
